On this episode of the “CookingWithDiana” Cooking show we will be showing how to make a European Dessert called Pear Compote. Pear Compote is a wondeful dessert made with Pears,Wine and Sugar it can be served alone or even over Ice Cream. It is a light dessert ment to help settle the stomach after dinner. Ingredients
6 Pears pealed, seeded and quartered ( We use Bosc Pears)
3 to 4 cups or water (depending on size of pot and amount of pears)
3 to 4 cups of Burgandy Wine (depending on size of pot and amount of pears)
1 Tablespoon Lemon zest
1 Small slice of Lemon
1 Cinnamon stick
1 cup of Sugar

Optional Items
Try it with your favorite type of Wine.
